The Washington DC Region, SCCA is happy to help raise money for VETMotorsports
VETMotorsports vision is what they call "helmet Therapy."
VETMotorsports uses motorsports as an inspiration to propel veterans forward, to encourage veterans to find their strengths, motivations, and personal inspiration. They are not a race team, but use existing team structures to provide much-needed non-clinical outreach. Since 2013, VETMotorsports has effectively capitalized on their relationships and collaborations within the veteran and motorsports communities. Their commitment is to share their passion and strengths with those who have given so much but have asked for so little
A portion of every entry for this event will be gifted to this wonderful organization fits so perfectly with our sport. Show your thanks to the men and women who selflessly put themselves in harm's way without question, and share your passion with them. Together, we can help veterans while sharing a passion for automotive sports.

COMMUNICATIONS
PLEASE READ the confirmation page that you will displayed immediately following the completion of registration. This information can also be found on this event's View Event Details page on your Dashboard.
All event-specific communications will be via the email address contained in your MotorsportsReg.com profile. Please ensure it is up to date.
SOUND RESTRICTIONS
Due to site restrictions, WDCR will be enforcing a 100dB sound limit for all autocross events for the 2024 season. Sound levels will be monitored during competition runs according to SCCA Solo Rules Appendix H. (50ft from the driving line in an area where most cars will be at full throttle). A worker will be assigned to create a written record of sound readings on course. Courtesy warnings will be provided if a car reads 97 dB or higher. Cars that test above 100dB will be considered to have failed sound. Competitors who fail sound will have one opportunity to take corrective action, which must be approved by the Chief steward before their next run. Failing sound a second time may result in forfeiting any remaining runs and a DNF for the day.
Sound failures will be tracked for the full season, and repeat offenders may face a suspension for the remainder of the WDCR season. We will make every attempt to accommodate those making good-faith efforts to implement corrective action, but it is important that we are good tenants and good neighbors. Our intent is to have fun, and create as little nuisance as possible while we are guests of the surrounding community.
We will be using an entry-level ANSI certified sound meter which will be tested and calibrated at the beginning of each event. Reasonable efforts will be made to account for weather features and other factors that may affect readings. Meter will be set to A weighting and slow response. Meter will be mounted on a tripod 3 to 4 feet above ground level.
WDCR-SCCA SOLO SUPPLEMENTAL RULES
The entrant agrees to follow both the 2024 SCCA Solo Rules & WDCR Solo Supplemental Regulations.
EVENT OPERATIONS
- Loaner helmets may not be available for use. You must bring your own SNELL rated helmet (SNELL approval sticker required) with a SNELL rating of 2020 or up to two certifications back (2015 and 2010). OG Racing (Sterling, VA) rents helmets for $55 and they allow you to put that money toward the purchase of a new helmet. Contact OG Racing at 800-934-9112 or info@ogracing.com.
- You will be responsible for your own food; there will not be a food truck on site.
If any of these change, you will be notified via your registration email.
